hollywood

"Hollywood" is a modular stencil font I designed for my Letterform class. It is composed of basic geometric shapes, such as squares and triangles. The shapes are displayed one next to the other to create apparently continuous strokes that recall a loop or circle. The font mainly takes inspiration from two modular stencil fonts: the Karpka Rhombus Font, designed by Dimitry Rastvortsev, which is composed of tilted squared pixels, and the Loopo Stencil Font, designed by Max Little, which is a font based on the shape of a loop. To present the font, I designed a printable poster using the word "Hollywood" and a web display image using "New York City" instead.
