new year’s card

I used the typeface I designed as a base to create an animation for the New Year's Card that Parsons Paris shared on its email and social media. The idea for the animation was to play with the squares and triangles that compose my typeface and create a simple animation with the number 2024. My inspiration for the design came from fireworks and glitching lights. I decided to start the animation creating a sparkly effect with a few squares which gradually form into a number. I thought it would have been interesting to create a transition from 2023 to 2024 using the idea of a glitching light sign. The animation was planned on Illustrator and then animated on AfterEffects.
