Untold Stories is a diorama which aims at discussing questions of abuse and trauma in the classroom setting. Education is a period in which we are our most impressionable, when we are moulded and shaped into the people we will one day become. Often in the past education has used means of disciplining and reprimanding children in an outdated manner, often resulting in the student being psychologically, physically or even sexually abused. In one way, this project highlights the trauma many have faced during this stage in life but is also a testament to how education has improved and how it should continue to improve.
Real stories were gathered among different trsaumatic experiences students have suffered in an educational setting in the past. Projected on the wall of the classroom are the real stories of these - students, who are also embodied in the scene by symbolical objects.
